Clarity Stamp Challenge - Trees

Welcome

This is my first blog, so just trying things out.  Thought that I would show you my entry to the Clarity Stamp Challenge for December, Trees. Just had to try out my new stencil brushes and Adirondack Ink-pads.  Thanks to Barbara and Claritystamp for the wonderful blog offer.

Inks: Adirondack Lettuce, Peach Bellini, Butterscotch, Stream, Red Pepper.  Ranger Archival Coffee.
Stamps: Claritystamp Pear Tree, Wrought Iron Kite, Happy Birthday.
Stencil: Claritystamp Torn Shapes
Other: Sepia artist pen, Colouring pencils

For the background brush inks through the stencil, changing colour and position as you go.  A bit of masking helps. The tutorial sheet with the Stencil shows this in detail.

Stamp the Tree and Kite in Coffee Archival Ink and add a few falling leaves and the kite tail by hand with a sepia pen.  Colour in the leaves and kite with colouring pencils.  Yes, I know it's winter but the background reminded me of falling leaves in Autumn.

Stamp the Happy Birthday and mount on green card.  I wish I had stamped the kite a bit further to the right but at the time I hadn't planned on the sentiment.

Thought you might like to see another version using the rest of the background.
